I can work with almost any picture.  So, if you have a favorite picture that you want to use just send it over.  However, the tips listed below will help you choose or take the best picture for the best portrait.

    -The subject should be up close with easily seen details in the face 
    -Always best to send entire photo without cropping
    -Photo should show subject from at least the waist up and include both shoulders
        and arms
    -File sizes should be at the very least 100k
    -When sending smart phone or digital camera photos always use the highest
        resolution (largest file) option (up to 10mb)
    -When scanning traditional photographs always scan at 600dpi

    Some photos that may be unusable would be where the photo is very small (under 100k) or when the subject's face is very tiny in the photograph.  When these photos are enlarged to portrait size they often become too distorted and pixelated to use.  If there is a photo you are considering you can always send it to me and I can let you know if it is useable or not.
